IMPD: Man dies after being shot at gas station, crashing into house

INDIANAPOLIS — A man is dead after he was shot inside his vehicle at a gas station on Indianapolis’ northwest side and crashed into a house across the street, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

At about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to the 4800 block of West 71st Street on a report of a person shot.

Officers arrived to find a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital for treatment where he later died.

Police say he was shot inside his vehicle at the Marathon gas station at 71st Street and Georgetown Road, then drove across the street and crashed into a house. No one was at the house at the time.
